Lack of Global Attention

Most governments around the world are busy solving domestic problems of their own making.  Others are unable to provide badly needed resources. Instead, they extract resources from the Sub Saharan region at minimal costs.

Institutional Solutions

There needs to be greater understanding among financiers about how to provide affordable solutions (Haile, 4). In addition, aid that does not reduce poverty in the region and end chronic hunger (Haile 4) is of no real value or purpose. Through investments, organizations have a responsibility to reduce poverty, implement technologies, and ultimately build a more prosperous economy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
